'10 MOST OVER-RATED SONGS OF HINDI CINEMA'
Article below these pictures:
This is like carving out extra-polished stones from an architectural structure. The task is uneasy, but still I have tried to figure out those extra-polished stones. The opinion is solely personal and the songs are as follows:
10. Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna(Chalte Chalte-1976): The music, melody, rhythm, lyrics, soul, everything is perfect. But, it is a bit rich to regard this song in a position, as it holds today. Maybe, because of the lyrics, Chalte-Chalte, Mere Yeh Geet Yaad Rakhna..... Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna...
9. Hum bewafa hargiz na the(Shalimar-1978) : This song truly depicts the emotions of a lover wherein he states that he is not disloyal, but he could not carry his loyalty further. This song could have been more elegant, had there been more cadency and rhythm and not that Zing-a-lala-ho.
8. Jaadoo teri nazar(Darr-1993): The credibility of the song is not doubted. The song where a man depicts his lover in a bit frolic and easy mood is nice, but this song could have been somethirng else, had it been a bit serious. For this reason, I like the song Tu Mere Saamne, Main Tere Saamne more.
7. Pehli Nazar Mein Kaisa Jadoo(Race-2008): This song was a chartbuster in its time, and it still has its magic and essence.Well, Atif Aslam, his voice and the breezy lyrics, O Jaane Ja,what more....
6. Kabhie Kabhie Mere Dil Mein(Kabhi Kabhie-1976): Mukesh's other songs did not fetch popularity as this one. Maybe, because of its classic and plain melody, soothing music, beautiful lyrics, Amitabh Bachchan,snow...
5. Dola Re Dola(Devdas-2002): Well, there would have been no buzz about this song sans Madhuri Dixit Nene and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. There is nothing really attractive about this song and this is the least impressive song in this list.
4. Kal ho na ho(Kal Ho Na Ho-2003): Both the song as well as the movie is over-rated. Many of SRK's fans describe it as his best song. They may have their personal choices and opinions, but it is certainly not. Many SRK's songs of forgotten films have good, melodious songs. Maybe, this song rules because of its lyrics(Kal ho na ho), defining song of Shah Rukh Khan's career, Sonu Nigam's beckoning hard in Hindi cinema.
3. Humein tumse pyaar kitna(Kudrat-1981): The song is pretty romantic one and it depicts the love of a person in a very hard, but clear manner. But, this song rules, as if it is the best option available.
2. Chura liya hai tumne(Yaadon Ki Baraat-1973): This song truly deserves accolades and acclamation. The music is superb and modern, music direction is beautiful, the song can be called as the defining song in Asha Tai's career. This song in some way or the other changed the course of Hindi romantic songs and was the beginning phase of modern Hindi romantic songs.
1. Tujhe dekha to yeh jaana sanam(Dilwale Dulhaniyan Le Jaayenge-1995): It was in 1995 and today also the youth generation envy Raj-Simran and want to be like them. Post-DDLJ, there has been no modern love story, which could sway us away in the way as it did. It was really a trendsetter and set up a very high standard. This song is really nice, Raj-Simran chemistry is outstanding, alluring agricultural fields of Punjab, mellifluous music. But the song is rated high otherwise.
